Wash Day

Wash Day - Today's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is anything but a card. We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs. The prize is 3 digis.

I was a little baffled by this, but then I noticed this recipe for handmade laundry detergent and decided to give it a try.

I made these for a gift exchange that I do with my crafting friends. For the reciepe and these pretty tags for them, I found it on a site called: How Does She?

I ran these tags with my Cuttlebug with this embossing folder to give it some extra texture and I used some fabric and eyelash yarn to tie the tags on with.

I love this laundry soap!!! It got out a stain on something that I only wear under another shirt because of the stain. While it did not get out every old stain that I had, even my husband commented on how much cleaner and brighter the clothes looked. Not to mention that it is a lot cheaper.

The best part of this project is that my grandchildren had a ball making this. I added some to the containers and they had the job of shaking them. They thought it was a hoot!

They also got to help shred the bars of soap. My daughter did make the comment that next time we should do it outside, that way if the kids spill some it is not as much of a mess. I must add that my table and kitchen floors were very clean when we finished!

Here is the card and goodie bags that I gave out as a set.
